September has been a beautiful month-cool eves and bright sunny days.  The next few days may bring us some much needed rain!!  Asters are booming, and the poison ivy is glowing with fall color. 
   I spent a glorious Monday cleaned up, meeting with our newly hired accountant.  I feel confident that we're in the right hands.  He works frequently with folks in agriculture and has lots of advice for managing our assets.   I've been doing a good job collecting our raw data; he has given me the tools to manage it.   He was glad to see a young couple getting into agriculture, as he has a few more decades under his belt.  I hate parting with my dollars, but this is some of the best money we've spent all year.  Hiring out professional services is integral to the small business owner staying focused.  It's one of those times where you wonder "Why didn't we do this sooner?"
