Wishing the best for all our readers in 2008!!  It is a wonderful time for us to reflect on our progress and future at the farm.  Last year was our groundbreaking year and more.  The excitement that our customers brought to us was so invigorating and inspiring.  We are so thankful for all of the great people we've met over the year that we've been farming in central NY.

I am spending the winter in Pennsylvania with my husband, Joe, planning for the farm.  There are seed catalogs to read ten times, books to share, and farmer friends to compare notes with over coffee.  I need to take a cue from the fields and rest for the growing season to come.  Summer sees Joe continuing to work here, while I'll be at the farm building on last year's momentum.

We want to experiment with our herb and vegetable offerings, determining what grows best where on our lovely parcel.  We had a great crop of heirloom potatoes and tomatoes, plus pumpkins and zinnias.  Definitely going to increase our production in those.  I'm looking forward to introducing high tunnels into our scheme.  These are unheated greenhouses with a height around 11'.  They are great since they protect from wind and precipitation damage, yet you can still grow in the ground.  They can be moved according to your crop rotations.  Stay tuned for pictures in a few months!

As we decide on varieties and quantities that we'd like to grow, please email us with suggestions and requests.  You can reach me at auntbee@auntbeesfarm.com, or Joe at jwc700@verizon.net.  Feedback is important to us!!
Peace and Love,
Aunt Bee
