Hello everyone!
Glad to be sipping coffee this afternoon, day dreaming about the abundance that will be unleashed this year.  I'm about half way through the seed catalogs.  So many, so little time.   Today I am home filing and organizing our office after some post-holiday crap shifting.  We have lots of resource material from the NOFA-NY conference.  Gotta keep track of it....

Loved Friday's Animal Power workshop...met some folks that  have offered hang out time at their farms.  I'm excited to make hay with real horse power!!  We're thinking of having some animal power in 3-5 yrs.  I'd like to hang with experienced teamsters for a while so that we know how to select animals.  I'm drawn to mules, and am considering draft ponies.  Regular draft horses are tall!

We're signing up for the Farmer's Market Nutrition Program this year.  It is a voucher program for seniors and families, getting them to eat fresh and locally.  I'm excited to get involved.  I had customers last year who wanted to buy, but I wasn't signed up yet.  I want everyone to have access to fresh, organic food.  *I just want to feed people. * That statement sums up my existence as a farmer.
